The Lackawanna's history involves many mergers and consolidations. The oldest portion of the railroad was completed in 1834.
The Lackawanna Railroad Company of NJ chartered in 1908. Operating through a subsidiary, The Lackawanna remained in operation for 68 years. In 1960, The Lackawanna merged with the Erie Railroad to form the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. In 1976, it merged into Conrail.
This stock certificate is in very good circulated condition with the usual signs of wear, and cancellation marks.
