This is an authentic stock certificate issued by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company in 1955. 

The Missouri Pacific Railroad was one of the first railroads in the US west of the Mississippi. It was under control of the New York financier Jay Gould from 1879 until 1892. It extended through Colorado, Nebraska, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. 

The certificate has a beautiful vignette of a steam locomotive. This would make a great gift for anyone who has an interest in railroad history or art. 

This stock certificate is in very good circulated condition with the usual signs of wear and cancellation marks.
